CERTIFICATE OF GOOD STANDING
A Certificate of Good Standing indicates that a limited liability company registered in the UK has filed all appropriate paperwork at Companies House, paid all necessary fees and has no documents outstanding or overdue at a particular given date.
In circumstances where a company wishes to open a bank account in an overseas jurisdiction, or register a branch in another country of operation, it may be necessary to provide a Certificate of Good Standing to that country’s registration authority or the subject bank in order to show evidence that the company is correctly registered in the UK.
The Certiificate indicates the company's date of incorporation and statement of compliance and can include extra details as requested, such as director/secretary names, registered office address and shareholder details.
